Round Up Auction

Friday, August 1, 2014

Help the Washington State Fair Foundation round up funds for Educational Programs on August 1st. We have a great night in store for you with stellar auction packages up for bid, fun and games, dinner and a no-host bar. All we need is some great company - and that’s where you come in! Make your reservations online or contact the Foundation office to be added to our invitation mailing list.

Bids for kids!

The Round Up Auction is a Fair tradition, and has been funding our scholarship program over a decade. In recent years, a percentage of auction revenues are also allocated to support the Traveling Farm. Every auction purchase you make helps the Foundation fulfill college dreams and provide kids hands-on agriculture education. It is because of your generosity that we thank you notes like this:

  • This scholarship relieves an immense amount of stress about my finances… your contribution will significantly help me achieve my major in Biology so that I can get into medical school.  – Meaghan , Scholarship Recipient
  • I learned that chickens can lay green eggs. I also learned that sheep has stuff that’s in loshen in there fur. – Karlie, Student & Traveling Farm visitor

On behalf of all our students, we thank you for your participation!

Attire: Business Casual
Round Up Auciton reservations are $45/person.
Event attendance is reserved for those who are at least 21 years of age.

Sipping for Diamonds

Thanks to our partners from Chipper's Jewelry, we are thrilled to bring a new game of chance to the Round Up Auction!
Purchase a glass of champagne for $50 and with it, the chance to win a sparkling diamond from Chipper’s! The stone is valued at $2,250 and is a .82ct princess cut, I1 clarity, H color. There are just 100 glasses available. On the stem of each glass is a small bag and in the bag is a stone. While you sip champagne, the experts from Chipper's will put your stone to the test at their appraisal station. Entries in the jeweler's log will show which of the stones are simulated and which is the one - the diamond in the rough. At the conclusion of the live auction, the gemologist from Chipper's Jewelry will reveal which bidder is holding the true diamond. Each participant will also take home a $25 gift certificate from Chipper's Jewelry.
